They wanted a system that would work with their existing Sony equipment but allowed for expansion and customization as their equipment was upgraded and replaced. COX also needed the ability to bring in a wide variety of sources, such as analog cameras and computer devices. | |

| Mobile Studios designed a distributed system that gave COX Communications the ability to input multiple types of sources and simultaneously send the program feed to air, to the Sony Cassette Recorder, and to a DVD recorder. Wired and wireless intercom systems were interconnected to give seamless communication with both crew and talent. Finally, the modular design of the PortaCast® Mobile Studio coupled with the simple layout and clear labeling by Mobile Studios' production team COX Communications would easily be able to replace or upgrade components in the future with a minimum of effort. | |
